ATTORNEY LUNDY TO CHAIR LEGAL EDUCATION SEMINAR ON DCF/DYS

On July 1, 2025, from 25 PM, I will be chairing an online seminar, WHEN DCF OR DYS STEPS INTO YOUR CASE, sponsored by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education.

DCF and DYS involvement in domestic relations matters is increasingly common. However, lawyers whose clients or whose clients’ children find themselves involved in Department of Children and Families investigations or Department of Youth Services delinquency or youthful offender proceedings are often at a loss for how best to prepare and advocate for their clients. Courts, lawyers, and agencies all share a common goal—protecting children and families—but we often speak different languages and approach the same problems from different angles. This seminar aims to give practitioners a better understanding of the goals and procedures of DYS and DCF and to offer practical tips on how to achieve the best results for your clients.

We are honored that Judge Megan Christopher will offer her “views from the bench” on these difficult cases. Our other expert panelists are Betsey J. Clement, Esq., DCF, Northern Legal Office; Stacey G. Bloom, Esq., General Counsel, DYS; and private attorneys Evan Bell, Esq. and Jamie Wallerstein, Esq. I will also be presenting.
